Protecting the rights of marginalized groups: Protection of Roma people

Abstract: In Serbia there are several regulations that emphasize and regulates the prohibition of discrimination. First of all the highlights and foregrounds the protection of human rights, because Serbia has ratified all key international treaties and conventions, because her goal is integration into the European Union and therefore more difficult to meet all the necessary European standards. Roma people are spread all over the world, including Serbia. Roma people from Serbia have characteristics that distinguish them from the others.
Apstrakt:U Srbiji postoji nekoliko propisa kojima se naglašava i reguliše zabrana diskriminacije. Pre svega se ističe i stavlja u prvi plan zaštita ljudskih prava jer je Srbija ratifikovala sve ključne međunarodne sporazume i konvencije, zato što joj je cilj integracija u Evropsku Uniju pa s toga teži da ispuni sve potrebne evropske standarde. Romska populacija rasprostranjena je po čitavom svetu, pa i u Srbiji. Romi koji žive u Srbiji pored svega imaju neke specifičnosti koje ih odvajaju od ostalih.
