Controlled interspecific hybridization was realised in the Genus Juglans L., in the following combinations: Juglans Sieboldiana x Juglans regia Juglans Sieboldiana x Juglans nigra Juglans Sieboldiana x Juglans mandshurica As a check have served the isolated, unpollinated flowers, and also open-pollinated flowers. In fixed time intervals the abscission of female flowers. resp. fruits was observed. The following percents of fruits were obtained from the three above lined up interspecific crosses: 27,7% (91 acorns), 25,4% (77 acorns) and 26,4 % (85 acorns); from the isolated, unpollinated flowers 9,5% (4 acorns) and from the open-pollinated flowers 47,2 % (142 acorns). The analysis of the fruits, i.e. of their pomological characteristics (length, width and seam-width) has shown a high uniformitiy in all fruit origins. The experiment has shown that it was possible, by using the applied method, to obtain a large number of hybrid fruits, i.e. hybrid plants, which characteristics can be analyzed later on.
