Opis (eng)

In the forest plantations of eastern white pine and Douglas fir, established instead of a degraded oak forest on the site of Quercetum-farnetto cerris, it was studied the influence of different intensities of thining on physical, chemical and microbiological qualities in humus horizon. The following results were obtained: In the plantation of eastern white pine a tendency of accumulation of litter was noticed, as well as a decrease of humus. The content of fulvo-acids in the humus was increasing, showing the tendency of its acidifying. As a consequence of thining there was a increase of fungi microflora in the total microflora. In the plantations of Douglas fir the same tendencies were noticed, but less expressed. The increase of fulvo-acids was not so high and the pH lowered insignificantly, showing a smaller tendency of acidifying. In the same plantation, in the period of investigation, there was a decrease of number of microorganisms leading to their smaller activity.
