The dependence of height development of Austrian pine and Scots pine plantations at Pešterska Visoravan on the applied afforestation technology and site factors was studied. We analysed the effects of soil preparation for planting, type of nursery stock and planting season on plantations height development. Site factors were also taken into account in the evaluation of the significance of the effects of afforestation methods: orographic, edaphic, climatic, geological, etc.
