Eksperimentalna ishrana svilene bube listom duda proizvedenim u područjima duž autosaobraćajnica, ili površinskih kopova uglja dovela je do veće realizacije potencijala nadživljavanja u prvoj generaciji u odnosu na ishranu listom duda nastalim u području udaljenijim od ovih izvora zagađenja. Nasuprot tome realizacija biotičkog potencijala bila je niža, a verovatnoća ekstinkcije populacija veća kod potomoka čiji su roditelji hranjeni listom iz zagađenih područja.

Abstract: Experimental analysis of potential use of land with high pollution hazard (roadside belts, spaces around thermo-electric power plants and opencast coal mines) for silkworm production has been continued. This paper analyzes the effect of silkworm feeding on the foliage from the regions with various forms of pollution, on the realization of its biotic potential in small experimental populations. Based on the previously analyzed results on the productive characteristics of cocoons, the possibility of using polluted regions for the production of silkworm still remains open. The food from the analyzed polluted regions exerted different effects on silkworm survival and reproduction potentials and existence of small experimental populations.
