VARIJABILNOST SEKSUALNOSTI REPRODUKTIVNIH ORGANA GORSKOG JAVORA (Acer pseudoplatanus L.) U OGLEDNIM KULTURAMA
SEX VARIABILITY OF REPRODUCTIVE ORGANS OF SYCAMORE MAPLE (Acer pseudoplatanus L.) IN EXPERIMENTAL PLANTATIONS
Bojović, Srđan
Sex variability as well as different isolaton mechanisms of panmixis and autogamy have been observed by the analisyis of flowering phenology and detailed morphological analysis of flowers and infloresences in populations of sycamore maple (Acer pseudoplatanus L.) at Ada Ciganlija and New Belgrade. Protandry and protogyny have been also recorded in sycamore infloresences. Having studied isolation mechanisms and taking into account spatial and insect isolation among individuals it has been found out that all trees were not crossed mutually. No total, but only partial panmixis has been recorded, the genetic material being transported among smaller number of ilndividuals. Some test trees acted as males, others as females and the rest on both ways. Hybridization without emasculation and isolation could be more easily controlled if the flowering phenology of parent trees was known.
