In the article mutual dependance between rtree diameter (X1), age (X2), tangent of branch angle (X3) and bark thickness (X4) of beech trees was investigated. According to the regression analysis, the tree radilius is in strong correlation link with bark thickness. Also the tree age strongly correlates with the bark thickness, but weakly with branch engle tangent. The last indicator doesn't correlate with the radius and barck thickness. In multiple regression combination of values of corresponding characteristics increases the reduction of variability, especially of the tangent of bark angle, but slightly of other variables (R3•12 = 0,6364, R4• 12 = 0,8935 , R4•13 = 0,8857, R4• 23 = = 0,7818). Although the nature of the link between bark thickness and tree diameter is stochastic, by the shape linear and positive, characterized by a very high value of correlation coefficient, there still exists a large selection space for tree selection based on bark thickness.
