Abstract: The article provides a broader overview of the scientific literature on the impact of the Internet on the education and upbringing of children and young people. The period under review is the last two decades, from the moment when the Internet became more accessible for children and young people at the world level, to the present day, when the life of children and young people is unthinkable without this means. In this sense, the article focuses on both the consequences and implications, taking into account the positive and negative attitudes and experiences presented in the theoretical review articles, as well as articles based on various studies of sociological, media, marketing and other nature. In the course of the analysis, the authors provide a critical overview that concludes with the assumption of the development of the Internet as a media and its impact on current generations of children and young people, as well as on future generations.

Аннотация: в статье представлен более широкий обзор научной литературы, посвященной влиянию Интернета на образование и воспитание детей и молодежи. Рассматриваемый период - это последние два десятилетия, начиная с момента, когда Интернет стал более доступным для детей и молодежи на мировом уровне, до наших дней, когда жизнь детей и молодежи немыслима без этого средства. В этом смысле статья фокусируется как на последствиях, так и на импликациях, принимая во внимание положительное и отрицательное отношение и опыт, представленные в обзорно-теоретических статьях, а также на статьях, основанных на различных исследованиях социологического, медийного, маркетингового и другого характера. В ходе анализа авторы предоставляют критический обзор, в котором дается заключение с предположением развития Интернета как средства массовой информации и его влияния на нынешние поколения детей и молодежи, а также на будущие поколения.
