Из хетерогеног корпуса икона са олтарске преграде цркве Свете Тројице у Рипњу, према стилским својствима, али и у односу на карактер текстуалних делова – натписа, издвојене су северне и јужне двери као хомогена целина и дело истог аутора. Разлог тако издвојеног истра- живачког супстрата садржи се и у чињеници да обилују натписима на грчком и српском језику, који указују на одређене историјске и културолошке околности из времена свог настанка (1830). Осим тога, разматра се и партикуларност текстуалних сегмената икона као чинилаца њиховог суштинског разумевања. Као секундарни циљеви препознати су тумачење уметничког наслеђа из времена владавине кнеза Милоша Обреновића, као и његов лични допринос у развоју тадашњег друштва и културе.

he numerous inscriptions on the side doors of the altar partition of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Ripanj contribute to the understanding of the context in which universal iconographic patterns are connected with specific real circumstances. The iconographer Anastasije certainly assumed that the iconographic pattern is not clear in itself and that notes in certain places are necessary for its deeper and correct reception. The allegory of the trial of the soul of the rich man from the icon of the northern doors is also connected on the ethical level with the motif of the contributor. Despite the fact that individual words are difficult to understand and that some graphemes are “impossible” to decipher, it is precisely on the basis of numerous inscriptions, which are interconnected, that the context of the icons, especially of the Archangel Michael, is understandable. This does not fully complete this case study, but it does open up questions of importance for understanding the connection between image and text in iconographic practices and, also, concerning the framework of motiva- tion of the founders and contributors of churches in restored Serbia after its liberation from Ottoman rule.
