The March 2004 pogrom represents one of the most severe blows to security, the legal order, and fundamental human rights in Kosovo and Meto- hija in the post-conflict period. The consequences of these events have signifi- cantly affected the exercise of family and inheritance rights, undermining the le- gal certainty of the affected population. The aim of this research is to examine the forms and extent of these consequences, with special emphasis on the loss of civ- il registry and cadastral records, the usurpation of immovable property, difficul- ties in proving kinship, and the fragmentation of families caused by forced dis- placement. The methodology is based on the analysis of domestic and interna- tional legal instruments, case law, and reports of relevant institutions. The find- ings indicate systemic deficiencies in the protection of victims’ rights, while the conclusion highlights the need for digitalization of legal records, strengthened institutional support, and the development of effective mechanisms of legal pro- tection.

Мартовски погром 2004. године представља један од најтежих удара на безбедност, правни поредак и основна људска права на Косову и Метохији у постконфликтном периоду. Последице ових догађаја одразиле су се и на остваривање породичних и наследних права, угрожавајући прав- ну сигурност погођеног становништва. Циљ истраживања је да се испитају облици и размере тих последица, са посебним освртом на губитак матич- них и катастарских евиденција, узурпацију непокретности, тешкоће у дока- зивању сродства и раздвајање породица услед присилног расељавања. Ме- тодологија се заснива на анализи домаћих и међународних правних аката, судске праксе и извештаја релевантних институција. Налази указују на си- стемске недостатке у заштити права жртава, док закључак наглашава по- требу за дигитализацијом правних евиденција, јачањем институционалне подршке и развојем ефикасних механизама правне заштите.
