Циљ рада јесте да аналитичко-синтетички приступајући тексту и интерпретирајући садржину писама Десанке Максимовић упућених њеним руским преводитељкама Иди Радвољиној и Олги Кутасовој покажемо како су она истовремено и сведочанство о њеном животу и артефакт историјских сећања на период од 1939. до 1992. године. Стога је прва целина рада у знаку афективног приступа тексту и анализирања начина на који песникиња пише о својим осећањима, а све са намером да се демонстрира да лична сећања постају део ширег културног памћења. Будући да су Десанкина писма и знаковит прилог историји, политици и култури сећања, друга целина окренута је ка проучавању њених сећања на Други светски рат, односно становишта поводом односа српског и хрватског народа и статуса Косова и Метохије. У том делу рада истиче се да су епистоларна сведочанства простор артикулисања трауматичних историјских догађаја, идеолошких превирања, националних питања, а да њихова ауторка активно учествује у формирању културе сећања и колективног идентитета.

The aim of this paper is, through an analytical–synthetic approach to the textand an interpretation of the content of Desanka Maksimović’s letters addressed to her Russian translators, Ida Radvolina and Olga Kutasova, to show how these letters simultaneously serve as both a testimony of her personal life and an artifact of historical memory covering the period from 1939 to 1992. Therefore, the first section of the paper is marked by an affective approach to the text, analyzing the ways in which the poet writes about her feelings, with the intention of demonstrating that personal memories became a part of broader cultural remembrance. Since Desanka’s letters also represent a significant contribution to history, politics, and the culture of memory, the second section focuses on her recollections of the Second World War, as well as on her reflections concerning the relations between the Serbian and Croatian peoples and the status of Kosovo and Metohija. This part of the paper emphasizes that epistolary testimonies serve as a space for articulating traumatic historical events, ideological upheavals, and national issues, while their author actively participates in shaping the culture of remembrance and collective identity.
