Confronted religious communities, with their differences, lead to the mixing of rituals, as well as to the conflict between Gregorije Bozovic’s short stories heroes. The aim of this paper is, by researching the motive and plot proce- dures of their rituals in the short story Sulj-kapetan, to conclude that the emphasis on differences reveals the unbreakable intertwining and mixing of cultures in this area. Rootedness to the religious laws, given at birth, does not fade, but social circum- stancesmake,theheroesofthisshortstory,tochangereligionandgotoitsextreme limits,whilenotlosingethicalcodesthatdonotrecognizereligionandnationality. WewilltrytoshowhowreligionispreservedatallcostsintheshortstoryKaojerarh, in which heroes use the defensive curse and the ritual procedure of the Orthodox community,asameansofdefenseagainstthedevil.

Супротстављеневерскезаједницесасвојимразличитостима доводе до мешања обреда, али и сукоба међу јунацима приповедака Григорија Божовића.Циљовоградаједа,приликомиспитивањамотивскихисижејних поступака њихових обреда у приповеци Суљ-капетан, утврдимо да управо истицање разлика открива нераскидиво преплитање и помешаност култура наовомпростору.Укорењеностуверскезаконитостидатерођењемнебледи, алидруштвенеприликенаводејунакеовеприповеткедапроменеверуиодудо њенихкрајњихграница,притомнеизгубившиетичкекодексекојинепознају веруинационалност.ПокушаћемоидауприповециКаојерерхприкажемо како се вера чува по сваку цену, где њени јунаци користе обредну клетву и ритуалнипоступакправославнезаједницекаосредствоодбранеоднечастивог.
