Циљ рада јесте да се кроз књижевно-емоционолошки приступ драмском делу анализира улога емоција страха, љубави и туге у другој верзији драме Бојна Косову Љубомира Симовића. Будући да је косовска легенда, због свог трагичког иесхатолошког потенцијала, постала централна тема српске историјске драме, посебноу другој половини 20. века, када је српска драма тежила сложенијем дијалогу са косовском прошлошћу, подстицајно је увидети како писац комбинује колективно наслеђеса сопственим ауторским визијама. Методолошки оквир истраживања интегрисао јетеорију афективне наратологије, психологије и емоционологије у анализи драмске наративне структуре, а са намером да се спроведе афективно читање Симовићевог текста и да се на примерима покаже како су емоције не само трансформисале фолклорнукосовску потку већ и омогућиле дубље разумевање односа између епске традиције имодерне драмске нарације.

Thearticleanalyzedtheroleofemotions–fear,love,andsorrow–inthesecondversionof LjubomirSimović’splayTheBattleofKosovousingaliterary-emotionologicalapproach.AstheKo-sovo legend, with its tragic and eschatological potential, became central to Serbian historical drama,particularly in the 20th century, the work explored Simović’s integration of collective heritage withhisartisticvision.Themethodologicalframeworkincorporatedaffectivenarratology,psychology,and emotionology to examine the dramatic narrative structure and to enable an affective reading ofthetext.Thefirstsectionfocusedonfearasacentralemotion,exploringitsroleincharacterdevelop-ment and innovations compared to the traditional Kosovo legend. Simović emphasizes fear to reflecthuman nature. Characters like the washerwoman Pralja and healer Bogoje express fear of loss, whilePrince Lazar and Princess Milica convey concerns for Serbia’s future and their families. Simović alsohighlightsfearamongtheTurks,particularlyoverbetrayalbySerbianvassals.Fearemergesasbotha motivator of heroism and a source of moral weakness. The second section examined love’s styliza-tion.Althoughovershadowedbyhatredanddiscord,loveappearsindistortedformssuchasambitionand greed. Simović contrasts this with the noble love of Kosovo heroes, evident in lyrical songs blend-ing patriotism and Christian sacrifice. The final section analyzed sorrow, prevalent in Serbian oraltradition and medieval literature. Simović dramatizes this emotion through warriors’ farewells and asoldier’s lament, capturing grief and the trauma of survivors. This modernizes the Kosovo narrative,emphasizing the universal human cost of war and the heroism of sacrifice.
