The legal framework for regulating domestic violence against children in the Republic of Serbia

Abstract: A couple years ago, we are witnessing an enormous growing number of data and studies that point to the fact that domestic violence is the most common type of violence in our society. It is about very serious, but at the same time a sensitive problem that requires strict legal regulations along with taking certain initiatives by the state, at the national level and international level. In this paper, as a special category of victims of domestic violence children are presented, considering that, on the basis of statistics, in addition to women, they are most commonly victims of brutal violence. Also, the first part of the paper explains the concepts that are often in use in this field. The description of violence, violence in the family is emphasized, and they are also described psychologically characteristics of the perpetrator of violence, its character traits, as well as the factors influencing it violent behavior, and the problem of acquiring two concepts of families in terms of defining members.
Apstrakt: Par godina unazad, svedoci smo enormnog rastućeg broja podataka i studija koja ukazuju na činjenicu da je nasilje u porodici najčešći vid nasilja u našem društvu. Reč je o vrlo ozbiljnom, ali u isto vreme i osetljivom problemu koji zahteva strogu zakonsku regulativu uz preduzimanje određenih inicijativa od strane države kako na nacionalnom, tako i na međunarodnom nivou. U ovom radu, kao posebna kategorija žrtava nasilja u porodici predstavljena su deca, s obzirom na to da su, na osnovu statističkih podataka, pored žena, ona najčešće žrtve brutalnog nasilja. Takođe, u prvom delu rada objašnjeni su pojmovi koji su često u upotrebi u ovoj oblasti. Naglašen je opis nasilja, nasilje u porodici, a opisane su i psihološke karakteristike počinioca nasilja, njegove karakterne osobine, kao i faktori koji utiču na njegovo nasilničko ponašanje, te problem sticaja dva pojma porodica u smislu definisanja članova iste.
