VERTICILIOZNA INFEKCIJA SUDNOG SISTEMA KAO FAKTOR EPIDEMIJSKOG SUŠENJA KULTURA I ŠUMA PINUS NIGRA ARN.

The epidemic dieback of black pine (Pinus nigra Arn.) forests and plantations represents a complex problem, provoked by interaction of a chain of biotic and abiotic factors demonstrating negative effects. The abiotic factors are: shallow skeletal soils, long period of drought, extreme temperatures, dry winds etc. and as the most important biotic factor Verticillium albo-atrum, which in the presence of optimal epidemic conditions closes the circle of negative action of all harmful factors.
