PROCENA KVALITETA SEMENA BAGREMA (Robinia pseudoacacia L.) U VEZI SA DUŽINOM NJEGOVOG ZADRŽAVANJA NA STABLIMA
ESTIMATE OF THE QUALITY OF BLACK LOCUST (Robinia pseudoacacia L.) SEEDS IN CONNECTION WITH THE LENGTH OF THEIR STAYING ON TREES
Marković, Ljubisav
The seeds of black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia L.) which stay in fruits on trees during the following vegetation period (season), does not lag behind by quality of the 'normally collected seeds. This is evident when comparing its absolute weight, number of seeds by 1 kg and indicators of germinability (germination energy and germination capacity) with the same indicators from the literature and norms of Yugoslav seed standards. Greater or smaller variability of analyzed characteristics can be explained completely or a great deal by variation between trees whichfrom the samples for analysis have been taken. There is a correlation of medium strength of adequate sing. Among these is of interest the correlation of negative sign between the weight of seed samples and number of seeds within these samples which have roten during the germination (r=- 0,7254** with 38 df), which shows that the tmy (small) seeds have been of poorer quality than the coarse ones.
