In Serbia (without SAP Vojvodina and SAP Kosovo) 115 seed stands of a total area of 1772.10 ha (reduced area 846.00 ha) were selected in natural stands of spruce, fir, black pine, Scots pine and Serbian spruce. In addition to this number 43 seed stands of a total area of 83.53 ha (reduced area 76.37 ha) were selected in forest plantations of the following species: Serbian spruce, eastern white pine, Douglas-fir, european larch, concolor fir and Lawson's cypress. So the total number of seed stands on the territory of narrow Serbia (without two autonome provinces) make 158 stands of a total area of 1805 ha (reduced area 922.37 ha). The selected seed stands in natural forests are found on different localities, height zones and mother rocks. According to the phenotypic characteristics of trees, the selecteed stands represent the most beautiful populations on analyzed localities, with the highest values of studied characteristics. The calculated uniform marks (Q) of the phenotypic value of each seed stand enable establishing of a rank table and their mutual comparison. This indicator also shows that selected stands insignificantly deviate from the uniform mark given to the stands of the most favourable phenotypic characteristics.
