PRILOG PROUČAVANJU REZISTENTNOSTI KLONOVA SMRČE (PICEA ABIES KARST.) NA NAPAD INSEKATA IZ RODA CHERMES
CONTRIBUTION TO THE STUDY OF THE RESISTANCE OF SPRUCE CLONES TO CHERMES ATTACK
Marković, Ljubisav
In one young spruce seed orchard, consisting of 456 vegetative copies of 26 clones, originating from two localities (Tara and Golija), 22,15% of the copies were attacked by Chermes. The copies of three clones were not attacked at all, while in other cases the ratio of the attacked copies to the total number of copies in the clone (P = M/N) varied in a large diapason from P = 0,0625 to P = 0,8462. It was confirmed by Hi-square criterium, at the level of 0,005%, that the obtained differences were significat. The vegetative copies of the clones from the locality Tara were much more attacked than the copies of the clones from Golija. Also there appeared significant differences among clones inside localities, what was confirmed by Hi-square criterium. Numerical ratio of attacked vegetative copies strongly correlates with the number of galls on them, both for the clones inside one locality (r = 0,7710 and 0,7657), and for two localities together (r = 0,7877). By the analysis of the variance, at the level of 0,001%, it was confirmed that between corresponding clones there appeared significant differences in average number of galls on a vegetative copy. Calculations from clonal test have shown that the resistance of spruce trees to Chermes, expressed through the number of galls, is in a certain extent subordinated to the gene control.
