Investigation of the relatively preserved forest phytocoenoses of Topcidersko Brdo (208 m a. s. l.) has enabled systematization and mapping of forest vegetation of the neighbouring Kosutnjak (218 m a s. l.). It appears on the basis of these investigations that plant communities with Quercus virgiliana give the main feature to ,the vegetation which was formed in this area, on the northest part of Šumadija (southern rim of Panonian Plain) out of the influence of underground or overflow waters. Definition of the southern border of the alliance Aceri tatarici-Quercion Z o l. et J a c k. has given the basis for systematization of linden-oak associations characteristic for one part of South East Europe (Tilion tomentosae prov).
