The results of the effects of slowing down of Danube on the elevation 63/69.5 m as a consequence of dam construction for "Derdap I" on forest species on the banks of rivers Danube, Sava and Tamis are presented in this paper. The interdepandance between the flood duration and underground water persistance and the elements of growth has been established. This fact would make it possible to determine the possibilities of forest species survival under new hydrologic conditions.
