Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 is a science fiction novel, but in its picture of the world, the protagonist'sencounterwiththeteenagegirlClarissehasthestatusofafantasticevent,which triggers his transformation: one of the pillars of the system becomes an outlaw and an adversary.Thisfactalonewarnsthatthedepictedworld,technologicallyfarmoreperfectthan theexistingone,iscompletelydevoidofhumanisticideals.Thisisalsorevealedbytheburning of books, i.e. the punishment of their owners. By reflecting on the threatening character of books, the relationship between high technology and high culture, and above all the fact that thedesiretoreadisextinguishedinthedescribedenvironment,wewillcreateaframeworkfor exploring the problem of the constitution of human subjects in a posthumanist society. In Bradbury's novel, the subject is determined by participation in one of the most strongly confronted processes: forgetting and technology stand in opposition to memory and high culture.

Farenhajt 451 Reja Bredberija je naučno-fantastični roman, ali u njegovoj slici sveta status fantastičnog događaja ima susret glavnog junaka sa tinejdžerkom Klaris, koji je okidač za njegov preobražaj: jedan od stubova sistema postaje odmetnik i protivnik. Već ova činjenica upozoravanatodajeprikazanisvet,tehnološkidalekosavršenijiodpostojećeg,potpunolišen humanističkih ideala. To je obelodanjeno i spaljivanjem knjiga, odnosno kažnjavanjem njihovihvlasnika.Promišljanjempretećegkarakteraknjiga,odnosavisoketehnologijeivisoke kulture,apresvegačinjenicedaseuopisanojsredinigasiželjazačitanjem,stvorićemookvir za istraživanje problema konstituisanja ljudskih subjekata u posthumanističkom društvu. U Bredberijevomromanu subjekat je određen učešćem ujednom odsnažnosučeljenih procesa: zaboravljanje i tehnologija stoje nasuprot pamćenju i visokoj kulturi.
