With the aim to get a synchronized development of male and female flowers, enabling in that way hybridization of early- and lateflowering individuals, two methods of stimulation of male flowers were used in Persian walnut: - Isolated of branches with male catkins on standing trees, in order to obtain a more convenient microclimate for flower"s development inside the isolators and - Development of catkins and ripening of the pollen on cut branches, put in pots with water, at room temperature - method called ,,water cultures". Stimulation achieved by the first method, when both, plastic and natron- paper baggs were used, amounted to 4 days in average, with a maximum of 5 days. The method of water cultures gave better results. The maximum stimulation was 15 days, but it might be supposed that still better results should be obtained by adjusting conditions of relative humidity and temperature of the room in which water cultures were placed as well as by addition of some stimulators in pots with water.
