U ovom radu su izloženi prvi rezultati ukrštanja nekih od uvezenih rasa svilene bube u našim uslovima sa naglaskom na efekat heterozisa. Izbor kombinacija ukrštanja izvršen je prema biološkim osobinama rasa i vremenskom preklapanju njihovih reproduktivnih ciklusa kao preduslova za uspešnu hibridizaciju. Efekat ukrštanja izražen u procentima izračunat je po formuli koju je dao Kremky (1970), prema N a č e v o j (1981), značajnost razlika između hibrida i njihovih legala utvrđena je t-testom, linearna korelacija između morfometrijskih svojstava kokona preko Pirsonovog koeficijenta, a parcijalni uticaj dužine i prečnika na svilenost kokona primenom linearnog modela trodimenzionalne regresije.

This paper presents the first results of crossing some of the imported silkworm breeds in Yugoslav conditions, with the emphasis on heterosis effect. Selection of combinations for crossing was done according to biological characteristics of breeds and time overlaps of their reproductive cycles a prerequisite of successful hybridization. Effect of crossing, expressed in percentages, was calculated according to the formula given by Kremky {1970), according to N ace v a (1981), significance of differences between hybrids and their hatches was established through t-test, linear correlation between the morphometrical characteristics of cocoons trough Pearson coefficient, and the partial influence of length and diameter on silkiness of cocoons through the linear model of three-dimensional regression.
