This article, based on archival materials, provides the history of the creation of the General Regulatory Plan of Niš and the dispute with the garrison over the relocation of units and the construction of military facilities in the city. The material used is stored in the Military Archive, in the fund of the Army of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and the archive of the city of Niš, in the fund of the City Administration.

Чланак, на основу архивске грађе, даје историјат израде Генералног регулационог плана Ниша и спора са гарнизоном око измештања јединица и изградње војних објеката у граду. Коришћена грађа похрањена је у Војном архиву, у фонду Војске Краљевине Југославије и архиву града Ниша, у фонду Градског поглаварства.
