The occurrence and intensity of attack of major phytophagous insect species and their effect on the health state of coppice beech forests was researched in East Serbia. During the period 2002-2004 the highest effect on the general health on the selected sample plots was produced by leaf miners (Lithocolletis fagine/la Zll. Lithoco/letis spp, Stigmella basallela H-S., Rhynchaenusfagi L.) and gallicolous insects (Mikiolafagi Htg., Hartigiola annulipes (Hartig)), which should be paid more attention to in the next period in the sense of studying their effect on the physiological processes in beech as a host plant.

U radu su prezentovani rezultati istrazivanja pojave i intenziteta napada vaznijih vrsta fitofagih insekata i njihovog uticaja na zdravstveno stanje izdanackih bukovih šuma istočne Srbije. U periodu 2002-2004. godine na odabranim oglednim površinama najveći uticaj na opštu sliku zdravstvenog stanja imali su lisni mineri (Lithoco/letis faginella Zll., Lithocolletis spp, Stigmella basa/lela H-S., Rhynchaenus fagi L.) i galikolni insekti (Mikiola fagi Htg., Hartigiola annulipes /Hartig/), kojima u narednom periodu treba posvetiti veću pažnju u smislu ispitivanja njihovog uticaja na fiziološke procese u bukvi kao domaćinu.
