Апстракт: Током једне у низу драматичних седница Среског комитета Савеза комуниста Србије у Краљеву која се одржала 1. јула 1954. године, одиграо се несвакидашњи догађај. Наиме, Селимир Обрадовић Бурзо тадашњи члан Среског комитета и припадник УДБ-е је током седнице, а након прозивки на рачун његовог морала и рада потегао пиштољ, с намером (како је у записнику констатовано: „да изврши самоубиство“). Обрадовић је спречен, а епилог сукоба и његовог поступка је допринео значајним последицама по многе чланове Среског комитета. Обрадовићев покушај је додатно продубио сукобе и погоршао међуљудске односе у оквиру партијске организације у Краљеву. У раду смо настојали да изнесемо сазнања о свим сукобима који су претходили овом догађају, као и епилог. На основу наведеног догађаја, претходних сукоба, проблема и крајњих последица, настојали смо да, из непосредног и неуобичајеног угла анализирамо организацију и међуљудске односе у Среском комитету. Настојали смо и да пружимо прилог сазнањима о томе каквом се делатношћу бавила УДБ-а на нивоу Среза. Рад је заснован на необјављеним историјским изворима, највише на записницима се седнице Среског кoмитета СКС у Краљеву. У циљу употпуњавања истините слике користили смо и објављене изворе, као и релевантну литературу.

Summary: During the one of a series of dramatic conferences of the District Committee of the League of Communist of Serbia in Kraljevo which was held on the July 1st 1954, there was an unusual event. Selimir Obradovic Burzo, the member of District Committee and member of UDBA at that time, during the conference and after calls on the account of his morale and work pulled the trigger with the intention (as being stated in the minute: to „commit a suicide“). Obradovic was prevented, and the epilogue of the clash and his act brought about many consequences to many members of the District Committee. Obradovic’s attempt deepened additionally clashes and endangered interpersonal relationships within party’s organization in Kraljevo. A clash with Života Piric followed, a head of the District of that time and with people that supported its point of view on the need of democratization within the party and society itself. Života Piric and his followers were beaten in the internal party’s struggles, and they were deprived of political impact. This paper brings the knowledge on these conflicts which preceded to these events including the epilogue. Based on the mentioned event, previous conflicts, problems and utmost consequences, organization and mechanism of Communist party functioning was seen from unusual and immediate angle at local level. The paper also brings the knowledge and some information on the activity of UDBA at district level. The paper was based on the unpublished historical sources and the most on the minutes from the conference of the District Committee in Kraljevo. Besides, with the aim of true image completion we tried to use published sources including relevant literature.
