У раду анализирамо, на примеру песме ТАМА, која је први пут објављена у БОСАНСКОЈ ВИЛИ 1912. године, Андрићев однос према младости, поезији, стваралаштву и љубави. Кратка мисаона структура отвара суштинска и животна питања која су од ране фазе стваралаштва окупирала песника и мислиоца. У Андрићевој поезији насталој пре Првог светског рата, као и у поезији припадника његове генерације, не наговештава се историјска ратна бура, већ егзистира лирски јунак као човек рођен без свог знања и своје воље, бачен у океан постојања. Велики приповедач и романсијер у основи песник је који је стваралаштво започео песничким изразом, поезију писао до краја живота. Mлади Андрић је, као и модернисти његове генерације, странац у животу опседнут осећањем немоћи, узалудности и таме. У том контексту тумачимо песму ТАМА и њена естетичка значења.

In this paper, we analyze Andrić’s attitude towards youth, poetry, creativity and love, using the example of the poem Tama, which was first published in Bosanska Vila in 1912. A short thought-provoking prose poem opens up essential and life questions that occupied the great poet and thinker from the early stages of his work. In Andrić’s poetry written before the First World War, as well as in the poetry of members of his generation, the historical storm of war is not hinted at, but a lyrical hero exists as a man born without his knowledge and his will, thrown into the ocean of existence. The future greatest Serbian storyteller and novelist was basically a poet and thinker. He started his creativity with poetry and wrote it until the end of his life. The golden thread and continuity of ideas in Andrić’s work is present both as a lyrical reflection in prose and as a tendency to use poetic images and metaphors. Young Andrić, like the modernists of his generation, is a stranger in life and possessed by feelings of powerlessness, futility and darkness. In this context, the song Tama, its structure and aesthetic meanings were analyzed. Poetry as a whole, including the poem Tama, help in understanding the writer and his work.
