Сажетак: Живимо у свету, који је као никада пре, суочен са бројним изазовима, ризицима и претњама. Стога, функција савремене школе, треба да буде подређена програмима, који ће младима пружити такав ниво образовања, које ће бити најделотворнији начин за решавање конфликата и озбиљних проблема. У том правцу, подразумева се и едукацију у погледу политика за сузбијање криминалитета, што ће у перспективи неминовно допринети, не само смањењу стопе криминала, већ и општем добру, а самим тим и благостању целокупног друштва. Познато је да је веза између образовања и културе нераскидива. Образовањем се преносе културне вредности са једне генерације на другу и помаже се њиховом мултиплицирању. Истовремено, стална акумулација културних вредности поставља све комплексније захтеве у погледу образовања, које је основни предуслов за њихово очување. Човек није само феномен природе, већ и културе, која је дефинитивно саставни део његовог бића. Ако по писцу, Х.В. Малоку (енг. Hurell William Mallock), „култура није замена, него кључ живота“, онда се за безбедносну културу, аргументовано може казати, да она представља својеврсно „умеће живљења“.

Abstract: We live in a world that, like never before, faces many challenges, risks and threats. Thus, the function of modern schools should be subordinated to programs which would provide young people with a level of education thatwould be the most effective inresolving conflicts and serious problems. This level of education includes education on crime prevention policies which would inevitably contribute not only to the reduction of crime rates, but also to the general good, and therefore to the well-being of the whole society.It is generally known that the connection between education and culture is unbreakable. Education transfers cultural values from one generation to another and further helps spreading them. At the same time, the constant accumulation of cultural values places ever more complex demands on education, which is a basic prerequisite for the preservation of the cultural valu- es. Man is not only a phenomenon of nature, but also of culturethat is definitely an integral part of his being. If according to the writer, H.V. Hurell William Mallock, "culture is not a substitute, but the key to life," it can be argued that security culture is a kind of "art of living."
