Summary: Taking into account the migratory movements that took place in the past between the regions of Montenegro, on the one hand, and the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, on the other hand, the author of this paper tries to explore the identity position of Serbs in Kosovska Mitrovica and Zubin Potok, which is viewed from the aspect of selfdetermination of an individual towards the notion of his family origin and continuity. The main attention is paid to the members of the kinship group characterized by the anthroponym whose roots can be related to the settlement of Biševo in the vicinity of Rožaje, in the eastern part of Montenegro, and that are the Biševacs. On the basis of the narrative material obtained by applying the biographical method, the author analyzes the oral histories of interlocutors with the surname Biševac, with the aim of giving contribution to the knowledge of the origin of the Biševacs in Kosovska Mitrovica and Zubin Potok, and, also, contribution to understanding their perception of their own identity from the aspect of personal attitude to their roots, kinship relations, and certain elements of culture they see as a feature of their kinship, ie. family heritage. The results presented in the paper were obtained on the basis of field research conducted on several occasions during 2021.

Апстракт: Узимајући у обзир миграторна кретања која су се у прошлости одвијала између крајева у Црној Гори, са једне стране, и подручја Косова и Метохије, са друге стране, у раду настојим да истражим идентитетску позицију Срба у Косовској Митровици и Зубином Потоку, посматрану са аспекта самоодређења појединца спрам представа о свом породичном пореклу и континуитету. Главну пажњу, у том смислу, посвећујем припадницима сродничке групе карактеристичне по антропониму чији се корен може довести у везу са насељем Бишевом у околини Рожаја, на истоку Црне Горе, а то су Бишевци. На основу наративне грађе добијене применом биографског метода, у раду анализирам усмене историје саговорника са презименом Бишевац, са циљем пружања доприноса познавању порекла Бишеваца у Косовској Митровици и Зубином Потоку, односно доприноса разумевању њиховог доживљаја властитог идентитета са аспекта личног односа према својим коренима, сродничким везама, те појединим елементима културе које виде као обележје свог сродничког, тј. Породичног наслеђа. Резултати презентовани у раду добијени су на основу теренског истраживања спроведеног у више наврата током 2021. године.
