Abstract Dissemination of the new technologies brings the new challenges in business of the mining and met-allurgical companies, as well as the care of accepting changes by the employees. This paper deals with an analysis of impact the digital technology development in the mining and metallurgical companies in Serbia. The research methodology is focused on measuring and interpreting the digitalization by the qualitative and quantitative methods. The research findings show how the business of mining and meta-llurgical companies is transformed into a digital age and provides everything that is needed to combine the mining and metallurgical processes with a new technology for sustainable development.
