Summary: In order to present the importance of comparative interpretation in a broader cultural pattern and in accordance with the theoretical canon, the dramas Claustrophobic Comedy, The Professional and The Hilarious Tragedy by Dusan Kovacevic, we used the correlation-integration approach. The basis of interpretation is the play Claustrophobic Comedy, an exceptional example of drama in drama, which aesthetic values, intertextual possibilities, the question of catharsis and art we observed in the integration-correlation sequence, and in relation to the dramas The Professional and The Hilarious Tragedy. Through research analysis of literary and artistic works we pointed out aesthetic values and possible problematic issues of genre, intertextuality, art and man in the world of decadence. In this paper, we decided on a parallel literary and theatrical reading of the play Claustrophobic Comedy, in order to point out the importance of directorial vision, theater criticism, but also the bravura acting of Danilo Bata Stojkovic, who we can also see as a unique feature of Dusan Kovacevic’s work. Through all three theatrical realizations of the mentioned plays, Danilo Bata Stojkovic presented Jagosa Kraj, Luka Laban and Vasilije as they are written on the pages of the plays, which leaves room for a functional comparative interpretation of the play and theatrical realization with an integration-correlation approach.

У раду ће интеграцијско-корелацијским приступом бити анализирана, представљена и теоријски размотрена компаративна виђења у драмама Клаустрофобичнакомедија, Професионалац и Урнебесна трагедија Душана Ковачевића. Циљ рада је да у ширем културном контек- сту и сагласју са теоријским утемељењима осветлимо значај интеграцијско-корелацијског приступа у литерарном и театролошком тумачењу и представимо могућа решења проблемских питања, а ослањајући се на међусобно прожимање и надградњу мотива, ликова, радње у поменутим драмама Душана Ковачевића.
